Counting Compromises

Fear is unnatural. Lightning and thunder are unnatural. Pain, death, reality, these are all unnatural. We can't bear these things as they are. We know too much. So we resort to repression, compromise and disguise. This is how we survive the universe. This is the natural language of the species.
Don DeLillo, White Noise

Messy things compromises are, all dislike
This bittersweet debris of tangled strings,
Some are arranged out of love and care,
These rioting twins, so complex they’re.
Some are forced upon asthenic hearts,
Too disoriented or districted to refuse,
Are these are ones that needs counting?
Or those which are dealt with reflexively?
Compromises for upgrades, which rests
Raising storms of fears, of far off future
And hushes down, the blues and sets
Straight that rudderless sail in ocean.

Friend's Companionship

I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light.
Helen Keller

Solace is effective but always it isn't, lone hours
as semblance of zero disturbance
when noises of surroundings are sole confederates
not the kind of nights one likes
a friend's companionship seeping balmy effect
certain satisfaction at all times
a shoulder to bend over, an ear to listen it all
rejoice in flooding talks with details
a luxury inaccessible to the many frantic souls.

Words in The Soul of a Newborn

There are words in the soul of a newborn baby, wanting and waiting to be written.
Toba Beta, Betelgeuse Incident

How unattached I'm from the world
like a pea in the pod, unaware, untouched
contamination will start, as soon as I'll be out
stretched, twisted with the ways of the world
will be vastly different, colored in the shades
pastures of unexplained vagaries will grow
attached, from all angles and sides I'll be, bounded
burned and baked, fully ripened inside out.
