Priorities

We all live a hectic life...We live like a busy bee. Performing n numbers of jobs on priority basis but priorities changes every day new one added, and others dropped. That's how things go on. But in midst of all this we are becoming mechanic kinda automatic ( machine- oriented).... Priorities, tasking, scheduling..... We are stuck. Buck-up guys there are some things on this earth  which are above any kind of priorities... Give time to yourself and try to stay(some time) off the track and enjoy the view from side :)

Priorities
Change faces with time
We all have a  box of it
labelled
Low, Average or Prime.
Priorities bulldoze you
to climb
mounds of aims
in your primes.
Priorities changes "You",
with time.

Box was vacant
when you came
anon, it became crowded
as neurons were tamed.
Elaborations and intricacies
blow your innocence away.
Things become too complex
to express, to say.

Friends, families, life, career
big buzzwords
people say.
How priorities shapes you
even it plans
your hours and days.
Priorities morphs
transforms with time,
But don't make a maze
in your head,
work something out for sublime.
Don't change too much with time.
Remember,you are the one
who sets priorities.
So don't screw this life
which you only get once
only one and one-time.

PS: Thank u all so much for your lovely wishes.. my exams were fantastic. Now finally I'm a graduate. Feeling good. Thank a lot again !!!

Glad your exams are over and you got back on the track.
I agree with every bit of what you said. When priorities change, they change our choices, our needs and even relationships. It's fascinating.. I remember writing a post about how priorities change.. but you definitely put them in better words. Good one :)

  14. I love your poem! It is good to have goals and priorities, but instead of always trying to 'make' life happen, we should sometimes just 'let' life happen. There is a big difference! Take care and congratulations again on graduating!

  18. Jyoti,

So rightly said that our life is nothing but ruled by priorities. We need to set these to do what we wish to but should also keep in mind that we are the ones who set or shuffle these. So time for self is TOP PRIORITY. Well composed.

    Take care

  19. This was so timely for me! I'm in the midst of some family issues that require a lot of energy and focus, and I've been burning the candle at both ends as a result. I needed a friendly reminder to slow down, take some deep breaths and remember that if I don't also take care of myself, I'll burn out. The poetry was lovely, as always. I so enjoy you, little girl! <3

You well capture the experience of the train that thunders down on us as we get further along in our journey of life. It seems you are a crucial point in your life as you begin to truly understand balancing priorities with remaining in your own integrity. Congratulations, may your wisdom guide you well through this transition!
